The Society for Affective Science (SAS) held its annual conference on April 27- 29, 2017 in Boston, MA. At this meeting, IPPA proudly supported the 4th Annual SAS Positive Emotions Pre-Conference, which took place on Thursday, April 27, 2017. The pre-conference was chaired by Christopher Oveis, Sara Algoe, and Jennifer Stellar.

The event showcased engaging and generative talks from 19 of the leading experts on positive emotions, including a keynote from David DeSteno. You may download the final pre-conference program here. In addition, the event attracted a wide breadth of expertise in the 60+ positive emotions scholars who participated in the day’s events. One of the pre-conference’s major goals was to provide space and activities through which this impressive group could interact, learn from each other, and generate new ideas. We are pleased to share that the day was a success in that regard, and hope that new insights on positive emotions will emerge from the interactions of this extraordinary cross-disciplinary group.
