Professor Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi has been closely involved, for the past ten years, in helping to design a serious game to interpret and train current and prospective business leaders on how to adapt principles of Flow and Good Business in the workplace. The beta-version of this game (www.fligby.com) won the 2012 International Serious Play Award in Seattle. Dr. Csikszentmihalyi contributed an essay about his involvement in designing the storyboard and the analytics mechanism of FLIGBY in a publication titled Missing Link Discovered: Planting Csikszentmihalyi’s Flow Theory into Management and Leadership Practice by using FLIGBY, the official Flow-Leadership Game.
Out of this experiment, the Leadership & Flow network has been created (http://flowleadership.org). This is an innovative enterprise to research and disseminate ideas about the kinds of leadership skills especially important to commit to a sustainable and value-based approach to business.
