The International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) hosts an awards program every two year, in conjunction with our World Congress. In 2021, IPPA (along with each of its six Divisions) will be welcoming nominations and applications for the following awards and we encourage you to review the Award information below and to click on the links to nominate yourself and others for the special recognition.
Important dates to note:
- May 15, 2021 – ALL Final Applications are due.
- All reviews and voting will be completed on (or about) June 4, 2021. Then, finalists are presented to IPPA’s Board of Directors for final consideration.
- All award winners will be notified prior to June 25, 2021 to provide ample time for preparations to accept their awards (virtual | online) at the IPPA World Congress, which takes place from July 15-17, 2021.

The Vaillant Award for Contributions to Positive Clinical Psychology: This award is named in recognition of Dr. George Vaillant’s seminal contributions to the field of Positive Clinical Psychology. Christopher Peterson Gold Medal: This award represents the most important honor that IPPA bestows. James O Pawelski ‘Positive Catalyst’ Award: This award is bestowed to an IPPA member who advances change for the Association and has committed their service to IPPA for a sustained period of time.
