IPPA’s Work and Organizations Division recently interviewed Richard M. Ryan, Ph.D. for the division’s Digests and Dialogues Series. The interview focuses on the application of Ryan and Deci’s self-determination theory to business policy and management. In this excerpt, Dr. Ryan discusses the importance of supporting employee autonomy, competence, and relatedness during the quarantine.
