IPPA Membership Options

• Members and Associates are individuals with a substantial professional interest in positive psychology, either in academia (Members) or other professions (Associates)
• Students are enrolled in good standing in an academic program
• Affiliates are members of the general public who are interested in learning more about the field of positive psychology

Members & Associates

IPPA Members and Associates are researchers and practitioners whose work centers on the production or application of positive psychology research. Members are academic researchers, licensed psychologists, or research-practitioners who have completed post-graduate education in positive psychology or a related discipline. Associates are consultants, educators, business owners, coaches, and other professionals who bring positive psychology research into their practice.

Members and Associates have access to all IPPA programs and services, including newsletters, the Positive Psychology Leader Series, access to website archives, and other programs. Members and Associates are eligible to join IPPA Divisions, where they can run for office and/or participate in planning discussions about the advancement of positive psychology in specific domains. They are also eligible for discounted registration for the biennial World Congress on Positive Psychology*, as well as a discounted subscription to the Journal of Positive Psychology. Members and Associates also receive free online access to Applied Psychology: Health and Well Being and Applied Psychology: International Review.

2-Year Membership (Thru 2014): $160

* Members and Associates are eligible for a $100 discount on World Congress registration if they sign up for two years, or a $50 discount if they register for one year.

Students

There is no more important investment in the future of positive psychology than in the education of young scholars and future practitioners who want to deepen their knowledge about the research of positive psychology. Given the often high costs of schooling, students enrolled in good standing in an academic program are eligible for a significantly discounted membership. Students receive all of the same benefits of IPPA Members and Associates, including a special student rate for World Congress on Positive Psychology registration. Students are also automatically enrolled in our student division, SIPPA, which develops additional programming tailored to the needs and interests of positive psychology students.

1-Year Membership (Thru 2013): $30

Affiliates

IPPA Affiliates are members of the general public who are interested in learning more about the science and practice of positive psychology. Affiliates receive the IPPA Newsletter and access to the full IPPA website. They can also participate in the Positive Psychology Leader Series webinars with leading scholars. Affiliates do not receive an additional discount for registration to the World Congress on Positive Psychology, and they are not eligible to participate in IPPA Divisions.
