IPPA’s Positive Education Division invites you to a pre-conference at the European Conference on June 26 and 27 on the theme of engagement in education. The International Positive Education Network (IPEN) is a scientific partner for this pre-conference.

Around the world, concerns are growing about students’ abilities with 21st century skills, mental health problems, and lack of motivation to learn. Engagement is a common problem across all levels of education. How can we make education more engaging for students and educators, ensuring that schools are preparing young people for successful futures?

The pre-conference aims to connect the international positive education community to share innovative research and practical interventions, tools, and processes from around the world, and to bridge research and practice. Participants will learn from one another, gain tools and resources, and connect with people from around the world. See a list of speakers here.

You can register for the pre-conference with your ECPP2018 registration here!

Do you plan to attend the pre-conference or IPEN’s concurrent World Positive Education Accelerator? Let us know in the comments below to find other members to connect with in person!

Do you like sharing your experiences with others? We are looking for volunteers to act as on-the-ground reporters at IPEN’s conference, the European pre-conference on positive education, as well as the main European Conference on Positive Psychology. Reporters might interview speakers, write a story about a session, create brief videos documenting their experiences during the conference, or share their conference experience in other ways. Creativity is welcome! If you are interested in volunteering for this role, please leave a comment below telling us which event you will attend and an IPPA representative will get in touch.
