People who know or have heard about OSHO (earlier known as Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh) have different opinions and it is quite normal. Some people call him controversial sex guru and some people call him the modern day mystic and great thinker. There are innumerable people who have been benefited by his meditation techniques and healing therapies at Osho Multiversity and started seeing world non-seriously, without being judgmental. I am not his follower but I do admire his work which is quite interesting for a person interested in Human Psychology. As a Human Resource Professional, I have attempted to co-relate some of his thoughts on human beings to the core of the HR function and the future HR challenges. Some of the thoughts are shared, as below:
All across the world it has been observed that the people living in specific countries or regions have their own pride which overlaps with a strong ego. Things like Food, rituals, religious beliefs, language, caste, race etc distinguishes people from those who have different language etc and it is quite normal for the people to behave in this particular manner, owing to a lot of reasons. At times, however this ego leads to hatred towards other people and extremities of this behavior leads to civil war or terrorism. Religious terrorism is nothing but a strong ego which leads to hatred towards people or countries that don’t follow a life or religious principles the way it has been followed by a particular community or say a region.
