IPPA’s Awards Program recognizes the accomplishments of leaders who make important contributions to the field of positive psychology. First offered in 2011, the Awards Program has recognized 84 individuals to date. IPPA will present eleven awards at the Sixth World Congress on Positive Psychology, occurring July 19-21 in Melbourne, Australia.

Individuals are welcome to nominate themselves or a colleague for one of the following awards:
  • Christopher J. Peterson Gold Medal
  • Outstanding Practitioner Award
  • Raymond D. Fowler Service Award
  • IPPA Fellows Program
  • Early Career Researcher Award
  • IPPA Top Dissertation Award
  • Contributions in Positive Health Award (presented by the Positive Health and Wellness Division)
  • Positive Educator Impact Award (presented by the Positive Education Division)- NEW!
  • The Vaillant Award for Contributions to Positive Clinical Psychology (presented by the Positive Clinical Psychology Division)- NEW!
  • Exemplary Research to Practice Award (presented by the Work and Organizations Division)- NEW!
  • Inspiring Mentor Award (presented by SIPPA, the Student Division of IPPA) – NEW!

Although anyone is welcome to submit a nomination for an award, nominated candidates must have an active IPPA membership at the time of application.
